La Dolce Vita now is a staple on my own family's favorite Sunday evening dine out. A month will not pass that we won't visit the place at least once. Our night will start with excellent appetizers such as the Carpaccio Di Bue alla Rugola E Grana; Thinly sliced raw Filet Mignon with basil pesto, topped with arugola and shaved Parmigiano Cheese and a plate of their exquisite Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail, Four jumbo shrimps served with the chef's special cocktail sauce. I also recommend their Shrimp Fantasy, Shrimp sauteed in a balsamic sweet chili sauce over garlic crostini, truly a taste you thought only exist in fantasy.

In fact, they deliver to my home, office or any location within a 5 mile radius for Atlantic Highlands, NJ. Every time I crave for a pizza, a hot or cold sub If I'm on the area, I will definitely drop by or i'll pick up the phone and place an order, delivered to me fresh and hot!

Gateano's Italian Restaurant in Red Bank NJ - another diamond in the rough. Gataeno’s is a casual restaurant with a comfortable and homey atmosphere. When in Red Bank there are many restaurants to choose from for authentic Italian food "just like mama makes" I can't recommend Gateano's highly enough. On my recent visit I had the Calamari Calabrese in a beautiful Mediterranean Caponata sauce - "marvelous" then I my mood for veal struck me (I LOVE Gaetano's homemade pastas...and usually take some home with me) but this night it was the Veal Scaloppini Saltimbocca - sautéed veal topped with prosciutto, baby spinach and fresh mozzarella cheese served with a wild mushroom, brandy, and tomato demi-glace. YEA MAN - excellent is an understatement! Since I wasn't dining alone I also tried the Lamb Osso Buco

Downtown Cafe - Who said good food and good music doesn't compliment each other? For all that jazz, rhythm and groove played on the stage; Downtown Cafe has a dish on their menu that compliments it; plus an extensive list of wine and spirits too. Hanging out especially late night when most of the bars and resto's are already closed in downtown Red Bank, Downtown Cafe is my choice of place;they sure know how to whet my appetite. That's with good food and good music galore!

The Raven and The Peach - this is an excellent restaurant in Fair Haven NJ on River Road.Try an appetizers like Tempura Lobster Sushi Rolls, Hiramasa Sashimi Red Curry Vinaigrette, or Kombu Rice Cracker & Asian Micro Greens - NICE NOW...lets get to the Creatively Crafted Main Courses ..although this is more of a "concept" it deserves an honorable mention - I LOVE the Raven and Peach for offering PETITE sized portions !!
